About Central Ohio Survivors Center
The Central Ohio Survivors Center (COSC) is a community-based organization dedicated to supporting survivors of torture, civil war, abuse, trauma, violence, and displacement.
We serve individuals and families who have experienced severe hardship and are working to rebuild their lives with safety, dignity, and hope. Many survivors face emotional pain, language barriers, cultural adjustment, legal challenges, housing instability, family stress, and difficulty accessing services. COSC exists to help survivors navigate these challenges with compassionate support and trusted guidance.
Who We Serve
COSC supports survivors from diverse cultural, ethnic, and national backgrounds. We especially focus on individuals and families who have experienced:
Community crisis
Torture
Civil war
Abuse
Trauma
Violence
Forced displacement
Family hardship
Barriers to safety, stability, and recovery
Why Our Work Matters
Survivors of torture, civil war, abuse, trauma, and displacement often carry deep emotional and practical burdens. Healing takes time, trust, safety, and support. COSC provides a place where survivors can begin that journey with people who understand their needs and are committed to helping them move forward.
Through direct services, referrals, workshops, advocacy, and community partnerships, we help survivors build stronger futures for themselves and their families.
We believe every survivor deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, and compassion.

Our vision is a community where survivors are safe, supported, empowered, and able to live with dignity.
